Coats for the Children 2026

Alpha Theta Chapter Proudly Supports WRAL’s Coats for the Children Campaign

The Alpha Theta Chapter was honored to participate in WRAL’s Coats for the Children campaign, an annual community-wide effort dedicated to ensuring children and families stay warm during the winter months.

Through collective service, generosity, and a shared commitment to community impact, this year’s campaign was a tremendous success. Thanks to the support of participating organizations and volunteers, the initiative raised over $150,000 and collected more than 9,000 coats and winter clothing items—and counting. These contributions are helping thousands of children and families across our region face the winter season with warmth, dignity, and hope.

Our chapter is proud to stand alongside WRAL and its partners at The Salvation Army in service to our community. Efforts like these reflect the heart of our sorority’s mission and our dedication to making a meaningful difference where it is needed most.

We extend our sincere gratitude to WRAL for including Alpha Theta Chapter in this impactful campaign and for their continued leadership in mobilizing community support. Together, we are creating lasting change—one coat at a time.

On December 20, 2024, our Alpha Theta chapter in partnership with Alpha Rho (Greensboro, NC) and Epsilon Beta (Lugoff, SC), provided many coats to donate and a $1,000 check to Coats for the Children.
